Matt Staats is a principal engineer at NVIDIA, where he works on agentic AI evaluation, agentic harnesses and leads the development of agentic evaluation creation tooling. He earned his PhD from the University of Minnesota. Before NVIDIA, Matt worked on generative AI programs at Meta and Gemini and on self-driving cars at Apple.
