Huriel Reichel is an ML Platform Engineer at Swiss Post, where he leads the company-wide MLOps capability and is building its first GPU-accelerated, self-hosted AI inference platform on Kubernetes (EKS + vLLM). With 6+ years turning experimental ML into production systems, his work has saved hundreds of thousands of CHF annually and brought 15+ models into production. A Swiss-Brazilian engineer with an MSc in Spatial Data Science, his current focus is making self-hosted small language models a practical, cost-effective, and sovereign alternative to frontier LLMs in production.
